well i see somebody came on here and spammed people, thank god they got banned.
at least one person wasn't sure if they should believe it. a lesson to all, be careful!
odds are nobody is gonna send you 2 mill and giving your address out as a reply woulda been a horible idea.
i knew it was spam as soon as i saw the PM. some might be clueless, and for those i put this message out there. sad that people attempt to take advantage of people, and sadder still that some dont know and get taken advantage of, actually believeing this stuff

Damn! Someone is offering two million dollars? I didn't get a PM. I'm jealous. LOL

It's the same all over. Hard to believe how gullible some people are and how many ways there are to con gullible people.

She told me she was dying and wanted to send me money but I had know idea who she was. I did not reply or anything but by that point the account had already been disabled anyway.

It's true. Just send me 5 dollars for the processing fee and I'll send you 2 million dollars. LOL her biggest mistake was spamming a CL. I banned it juwt as soon as I saw it, no warnings or anything. I told her to go back to reading that bible.

Hey Anthony, if you send me two million dollars, I'll send you five dollars.

Post 7 by Runner229 (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Thursday, 05-Sep-2013 11:26:24

I'll send anyone who wants it two billion dollars. No one specified whether it should be real money though, so I'll just send Monopoly Money. Enjoy.

Post 8 by DevilishAnthony (Just go on and agree with me. You know you want to.) on Thursday, 05-Sep-2013 11:45:06

awe, Becky! You'd really do that for me? I knew I could count on you.

Lol I got the spam also, a blast from the past. Hadn't seen a tearful Christian Nigerian asking for cash in about ten years. I was starting to feel all forlorn and neglected over here.

I always miss all the fun. *sigh*

Indeed. I would actually accept that monopoly money thing just to show the magnitude of that. Let's see. We'll assume that you give me the $2 million in $500 bills, which is the highest that monopoly offers. Just let me get out a bill to measure it...
OK. Rough measurement puts the bill at 4cm by 8cm and by my reckoning about 1mm thick. At this rate, your $2 million is only 4000 of these bills. If I put them one layer thick on the ground, that would be 128,000 square centimeters. If I stacked them up, it would be about 4 meters high. That's higher than most cielings. Let's also assume these weigh about a gram. That pile would weigh about 4 kilograms or as much as a rather heavy laptop computer. Just imagine shipping costs on that! Are you sure you still want to send me $2 million in monopoly money?

Oh, wait a minute. I didn't see that post 7 said "billion" and not "million" Let's just get ready for more math...
Your money to me will way as much as one thousand heavy laptop computers at four metric tons. It would reach to the ceiling in over a thousand stacks with money left to go. Now I'm almost certain you wouldn't want to give me this, now would you?

Paypal the easier way to pay!
Who really uses dirty old money when they've got that much?
Black cards are all the rage, even the fake ones.

Gees, I can't believe someone tried that on here. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time either. I never fell for those kinds of scams, even when I wasn't computer savvy. Good thing you band them, Anthony.

er...... wow! interesting but incredibly stupid.

hey, I can send yeu that money, and like that poster said no one said it needs to be real money or money at all. I just write 2 billion on a piece of paper and send it right over!

Post 18 by Nicky (And I aprove this message.) on Tuesday, 22-Oct-2013 17:39:56

be careful just writing things down on paper. I have heard of banks being forced to cash a check that was written out on a napkin because it had all the information it needed to be done...
